Make your first call
Try your assistant for real, watch the live transcript, and find the recording afterward.
This is the fun part. You've built an assistant and given it a phone number — now let's hear it talk. Grab your phone and let's try a real call together.
This is just a test call to yourself. Nothing goes to your customers, so relax and have a little fun with it.
Try it now
- Call the number you connected — dial it from your own phone, just like calling a friend.
- Wait for your assistant to answer. It will greet you warmly.
- Talk to it naturally. Ask a question your customers might ask, like "What time do you close?" or "Can I book for tomorrow?"
- Listen to how it replies. Notice how it understands you and answers in a natural voice.
Prefer the other way around? If your assistant is set up to make outgoing calls, you can have it call you instead — start the call from the app and your phone will ring.
Watch the call live
While you're talking, open the Calls area in the app on your computer. You'll see the conversation appear on screen as words, almost in real time — what you said and what your assistant replied. This is called the live transcript.
It's a lovely way to see exactly how your assistant is doing, and it helps you spot anything you might want to teach it later.
Seeing your words appear on screen as you speak? That means everything is working beautifully.
Find the recording afterward
When the call ends, it's saved to your call history automatically. To look back at it:
- Go to the Calls area.
- Click the call you just made.
- From here you can read the full transcript of what was said, and listen to the recording.
This means you never miss a detail. You can review calls any time, share them with your team, or use them to improve your assistant's instructions.
You're always in control of recordings. You decide whether calls are recorded, and you can ask for any data to be deleted at any time.
You did it! 🎉
Congratulations — you just had a real conversation with your very own AI assistant. That's a big step, and you did it all without writing a single line of anything technical.
From here you can:
- Refine your assistant — listen to a few calls and tweak its instructions to make it even better.
- Connect your other tools so it can look things up and take actions during a call.
- Invite your team and explore your plan in Settings.
